Fender-pickups

Bridge: bridge pickups have lower output and produce a brighter, sharper and more harmonic-rich tone. It’s mostly used for pop, rock and blues with distortion.

Mid: Pickups in the mid position give bright sound rich of middle tone. It suits for generic pop and rock purposes

Neck: Pickups in the neck position usually give louder, mellower and warmer sound. It is the sound of David Gilmour (Pink Floyd) or Jimmy Hendrix. Perfect for funky too.

The pickup selection switch has 5 positions. Positions 1, 3 and 5 activate only one pickup (bridge, middle or neck respectively), while positions 2 and 4 activate a combination of two pickups (bridge+mid, or mid+neck, respectively)

Bridge+Mid: if you want to play “Sultan of swing” of Dire Straits. You can also use it for Blues, funky.

Mid+Neck: is the sound of Sister Sledge, Chic!
